Guitar Instruction
The core of my teaching philosophy is that music is fun first. If you learn how to enjoy time spent with music: Making music, listening to music, thinking about music, then getting good is a natural progression. The work part is fulfilling instead of stressful.
Whether you're already an advanced player or just getting started, I regard each student as an individual. No two people have the same aspirations or the same needs, so I don’t use a set curriculum. Early lessons are largely a chance for us to find a flow and for me to identify which issues to work on first.
The student can choose any style(s) that they want to focus on. I use lots of materials and transcriptions from various genres to address the necessary techniques and concepts all players need for a well rounded education!
Current rates for private lessons are: $60/hour ($55/hour if on a weekly schedule) and $30/half hr. I'm not offering any group instruction currently, but I am available for clinics and coaching sessions."
